World Book Day - March 07
| Fairies, Superman, witches, Cinderella,
Robin Hood and even a hobbit were just some
of the story characters that we dressed up as to mark
World Book Day.
Children brought in books they had finished with at home
and swapped them for other childrens' books. Mick
Manning and Brita Granström came to school to tell us
about their work as children's authors and illustrators.
My favourite was coming
to school dressed up because it felt strange - David |
|
Reception, year 1 and year 2 children
listened to Mick and Brita reading their book called
'Yuck!' Then the children asked questions like:
-
How long does it take to write a
book?
-
How do you make the writing bold?
-
How many books have you written?
|
I
dressed up as Jack Sparrow on Book Day. I liked 'Yuck!'
- Declan |
 |
Mick and Brita told year 3
and year 4 children about their book called 'Viking
Longship' and the children had a go at their own Viking
sketches - you can see some of them on here soon so
please come back.
It was
quite weird seeing the teachers dress up. Mrs Hiroz was
funny dressed as Bob the Builder - Katy |
|
The best bit was listening to the stories about animals
because I am really interested in animals - Jack |
