The school takes all allegations of bullying very seriously. A copy of our anti-bullying policy is available from the office on request. Some websites that you might be interested in include:

Childhood illnesses

Children pick up all sorts of infections and it is sometimes hard for parents to know what to do for the best. The BBC health section of their website has information on a comprehensive list of common childhood complaints such as chickenpox, ear infections and headlice. Please let us know if your child is unwell and won't be in school.

If children are ill in school time it is important that we can get contact you, please notify the office of any changes in your emergency contact details.

Holidays in term time

Headteachers have discretion to grant leave of absence for purposes of family holidays in term time and can approve up to a maximum of ten days in any one school year. The leave of absence form should be completed and returned to school two weeks before the holiday.

Please note that we are required to store signed copies of medical and holiday forms in our files. This means that we are currently unable to accept them via email.

Lunchtimes

Gone are the days of lumpy mash and soggy cabbage! Our school lunches are delicious and freshly cooked on the premises. Northumberland School Meals comply with the National Nutritional Guidelines therefore ensuring a balanced meal is provided for your child. The weekly lunch menu is on a link at the top of every page so you can see what choices your child has every day.

At Holy Trinity we try to encourage healthy eating choices but we know it can be really hard to come up with new, healthy options for packed lunches. This website has some suggestions for packed lunches that you might like to try, or look at the School Food Trust

If you want to change from or to school lunches please give us one week's notice so that our kitchen can change their food orders.

Medicine in school

We are able to administer prescribed medicines in school time only if parents have signed a consent form. Please note that guidance from the Local Authority states that only medicine that must be taken four times a day can be given in school. Consent to administer medicine form

Please note that we are required to store signed copies of medical and holiday forms in our files. This means that we are currently unable to accept them via email.
